GvG Weekend. (Weekend event)
GvG Double-Reward Weekend
GvG's the thing this weekend, when you can earn double GvG Faction and Double Champion Points starting Friday at Noon Pacific (-7GMT) through Sunday at 11:59PM Pacific. Please tell me this isnt true. ANET YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO FIX THIS, CHANGE IT, CHANGE IT NOW! |

I lollerskated to the nearest roflcopter when I read this upcoming event.
Expect massive whining both from people who can't get Champion points either way and from people who want the titles to stay rare. |

The last one of these was 3 months ago (Weekend of Jan 13th, to be exact). That's not all that frequent, unlike the QQ threads that start up nearly every Tuesday after they announce what the weekend's feature will be.
If they stick to the same rotation, the weekend event after this will be double SS/LB points again. Anyone who wants to QQ about that might as well do it here and save forum space. |

Editing a completely useless post to reply to below post:
For starters, its not a QQ thread friend, my "negative" comment below the event info was ment as purely comical. However I do think negatively of the event. And yes, it will get "noobs" their "leet" title. As for question 2/3, it seems you're pissed at titles in general, but the answers would be yes/no, and, no priority evaluation is needed as to why it does. If you want something that is fairly hard to get (in comparison with other things in this situation), and you're trying to get that, and someone who completely lacks the skill/focus/experience/everything is able to easily get it, would it not affect you? Granted, I dont, nor do very many people, gvg just for the champ title, but its a nice bonus, and its only human nature to want to be recognized for you're achievements, and wouldn't it annoy you to know theres people achieving such things with no work or effort? Im not going to get much into this, it think maybe you were pissed about something and needed a chance to rant, maybe im wrong, but everything is situational. ZOMG, how did I know there would be a QQ thread the moment I saw the announcement? Oh yea.....
Jeebuz, can you people not go for 15 minutes without bitching and whining about something? This is not the first double GvG weekend, and will probably not be the last. Stop complaining that it devalues a title. Maybe .05% of GW's population is even remotely close to getting a champ point. This weekend will not get "noobs" thier "leet" title. All it means is that there will be some really cool matches on observer mode this weekend. As for champ point runs, give me a break. Yea, all of 2 people might get an undeserved r1 Champion this weekend. And you care BECAUSE?!?!!?  Now please sit down and think about this for a minute. Answer the following questions. 1) Do I GvG at a Champ point level? 2) Do the titles of strangers affect me? 3) Is the world in danger? If you answered yes to question 1, then good job, this weekend will be a benefit to your title. Gl and Hf. If you answered no to question 1, then this weekend will probably be status quo, with maybe a nice little Balthazar faction bonus. If you answered yes to 2, then please please please re-examine your priorities. If you answered yes to 3, then call for backup. |
